Hidden Line

Visualize

When using the Suppress Hidden Line render mode using the Visualize option, more realistic, slightly shaded edges and surfaces are displayed.

Foreground Wireframe

Nonrenderable Objects

In the example below, a 3D part is shown using the Hidden Line - Visualize > Hidden Line-Edges rendering type.

This part is shown with the Nonrenderable Objects activated in the Foreground Wireframe options.

This produces a result whereby the edges and surfaces are shown, as well as objects that would not normally be considered 'renderable', for example, sketch profiles. No hidden lines in the interior of the part are shown.

When using the Suppress Hidden Line render mode using the Visualize option, more realistic, slightly shaded edges and surfaces are displayed.

Visualize - Hidden Line Edges

In the example below, a 3D part is shown with the Renderable Objects activated in the Foreground Wireframe options. This produces a result whereby the exterior and interior edges and surfaces are shown. 2D sketch profiles are not shown using this option.

When using the Suppress Hidden Line render mode using the Visualize option, more realistic, slightly shaded edges and surfaces are displayed.

The Hidden Line Edges rendering option used below exaggerates the edges which would otherwise be hidden in the current view.

Visualize - Hidden Line Isolines

Isolines are contours which connect vectors on a 3-dimensional surface which share the same property.

Isolines wrap around the surface of 3-dimensional objects providing the ability to both visualize and analyze spatial and geometric data.

In the example below, the part is shown rendered using the Hidden Line Isolines option which provides more detail to the contours and surface lines of the part.

Renderable Objects

In the example below, a 3D part is shown with the Renderable Objects activated in the Foreground Wireframe options. This produces a result whereby the exterior and interior edges and surfaces are shown. 2D sketch profiles are not shown using this option.

Suppress Hidden Line

The Suppress Hidden Line option allows nonrenderable and renderable objects to be produced while showing surfaces and edges which would normally be obscured by other objects in the current view.

NOTE : This option can only be used if the Renderable Objects option is activated.
